Our Wines of the Month

It's Thanksgiving time again and we're left with the decision of what to serve or what to bring to dinner. Here is our Thanksgiving line up! I Recommend starting with a crisp refreshing rosé either still or sparkling will do the trick. It's a great first drink as everyone is arriving, catching up and snacking. Next I recommend moving on to a Chardonnay with some mild oak aging. I splurged this year and went for a French Pouilly-Fuissé, but please choose whichever Chardonnay you prefer. Chardonnay is great with food and can be a great option to go with dinner for the white wine only drinkers. Third on the list is a pinot noir. I went with a Washington state pinot noir that has nice tart cranberry and raspberry notes with some light spice and oak aging. Pinot noir is the classic Thanksgiving pairing, it goes great with turkey and compliments to root vegetables and all the usual suspects at a thanksgiving meal. Fourth down the list is a Lambrusco. A light, slightly sweet, slightly sparkling Italian red wine which will help cut through the heavy foods on this day and pair well against the turkey and casseroles. Lastly I went with a Cabernet Sauvignon, bold, spicy and oaky. Can be a great end of meal drink to aid in digestion or for those who prefer a heavier red to go with dinner this will still pair well with a thanksgiving meal. I suggest sipping rosé with snacks then for dinner having 4 separate glasses with a third of a pour of each of the wines and enjoy trying the different wines with all the different food on your plate and sip and eat away! Cheers!
